Website Center for Online Safety and Liberty

You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our website to ensure a seamless user experience, robust security, and effective online presence. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to create a dynamic and engaging digital hub that promotes COSL’s mission and advocacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly update WordPress core, themes, plugins, and ensure overall website security and performance.
  • Monitor website functionality and proactively address technical issues, working closely with the System Administrator as needed.
  • Format, and publish blog posts, press releases, newsletters, and other website content.
  • Ensure visual consistency across web pages.
  • Optimize website content for improved visibility and accessibility via search engines.
  • Regularly review website analytics and user feedback to enhance user experience and site effectiveness.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to website architecture, content delivery, and accessibility.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with WordPress website management, including familiarity with common plugins and theme customization.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Experience with SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • An eye for design and user experience.

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time, volunteer (estimated 5-10 hours/week).
